STUDENT NEWS
At JJDA, we are incredibly proud of all our students.  Their love of dance, hard work and dedication
show in every performance.  Here are some of the highlights:
JJDA DANCERS WIN SCHOLARSHIPS AT THE PULSE
In January 2008, JJDA Company members attended The Pulse intensive dance
workshop at the Meadowlands.  
Stephanie Wnek was honored with a scholarship to Broadway Dance Center in
NYC.  She was also hand-picked by Brian Friedman to audition for his summer
intensive.
Emily Phillips was awarded a Pulse scholarship to study with famous
choreographers such as Mia Michaels and Wade Robson.
JJDA DANCERS WIN SCHOLARSHIPS AT WILD
Congratulations JJDA dancers on winning scholarships at the Wild dance
intensive in February 2008:

Amber Poppe - Top award in the junior category: year-long scholarship to attend
all Wild events and assist the faculty during the intensives

Emily Phillips, Rebecca Phillips & Daniele Rusek - Full scholarships to attend
Wild

Tori Santorella & Jessica Staggard - Invitation to attend PowerPak  intensive
JJDA DANCER SELECTED FOR
JETS FLIGHT CREW
Jessica Staggard was selected from 250
dancers to join the 22 member NY Jets
Flight Crew.  Final auditions were held on
June 1st at Mark Ecko Enterprises in NYC.

CONGRATULATIONS JESS!
JJDA HIP HOP COMPANIES PERFORM AT
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
The JJDA Junior and Senior Hip Hop Companies entertained the crowd at a
Knicks Game with their award winning routine "Girls Night."
Although the Knicks lost, the crowd loved their performance!

JJDA GRADUATE AUDITIONS FOR
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

Danielle Byam had the experience of a lifetime when she auditioned for
Season 6 of the FOX television hit
So You Think You Can Dance in Boston, MA.  
Danielle made it through the first round of auditions and was thrilled to dance
for Nigel, Mary, and Tyce Diorio.

JJDA DANCERS WIN SCHOLARSHIPS AT WILD

Natasha Crudup - Top award in the Teen category: scholarship to
attend all Wild events & assist the faculty, Emily Phillips & Amber
Poppe - Full scholarships to attend Wild, Rebecca Phillips -
Scholarship to compete her solo at Revolution dance competition,
Victoria Tajes, Vanessa Vickers, & Marion Davidson - Scholarships
to compete solos at Nexstar Dance Competition.

All of Our JJDA Dancers had a great time at the dance intensive.

Congratulations Stephanie Wnek!  Stephanie performed with the 2009
PowerPak in Ocean City, MD and is currently featured on the
PowerPak brochure.  Stephanie had a blast on the 2009 tour, where she
was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" by her fellow dancers and won a
solo scholarship to a Starpower event.
