| Registration Registration for Dance Classes is now in progress. Classes start in September, July and January. Contact us to learn more. Class Schedule JJDA offers a variety of dance classes, Monday-Saturday for your convenience. Please click here to get more information on our class schedule. Please contact us and we will gladly help you select the best class for your child. Tuition JJDA tuition is based on a full year program. You may choose to pay your tuition for the year in full and receive a 10% discount, in two semi- annual payments and receive a 5% discount, or in monthly installments. Each monthly installment must be paid in full, regardless of the number of classes in the month. Make up classes are available in the event your child misses class due to a holiday or illness. Volume discounts are available for dancers who take more than one lesson per week. Families with more than one dancer will receive a 10% discount. High-Volume discounts are also available for families with more than one dancer where each dancers takes a minimum of four hours of lessons per week. Snow Closings JJDA follows Edison Township school system closings for inclement weather. If Edison schools are closed for snow or have early dismissal for snow, we will be closed as well. In some cases, we may close when the Edison schools do not. If there is inclement weather, always call the studio at (732) 662-9808 before leaving your home to make sure class has not been cancelled. We will always leave a message on the voicemail if the studio is closed. Dress Code Adherence to a dress code in dance class encourages discipline and respect for the dance studio environment. Please do not wear valuable jewelry or bring any valuable items to the dance studio. JJDA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Creative Movement & Ballet/Tap: Girls – Any solid light pink leotard with pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. (Tap shoes required for Ballet/Tap only.) Hair must be worn in a bun or neat ponytail. Boys – Black sweat pants and white t-shirts with black ballet shoes or bare feet and black tap shoes. Hip Hop, Tap & Jazz/Tap: Girls – JJDA uniform tank top or leotard in black or pink with black shorts, black capri pants or black sweat pants (sweat pants not permitted in Jazz/Tap). No t-shirts or sweat shirts. Boys - Any solid color t-shirt with black sweat pants. Hip Hop students will need clean, white sneakers. These sneakers should only be worn in the dance studio and never outside. Tap students will wear Bloch lace-up tap shoes and Jazz students will wear Bloch Super Jazz shoes in Tan. Ballet & Pointe – Girls - JJDA uniform leotard or tank top in black or pink with tan, pink or black tights. Students may also choose to wear the JJDA uniform shorts. Split-sole canvas Capezio or Bloch ballet shoes required. Hair must be worn in a bun or neat ponytail. Pointe Shoes - Students should wear the optimal pointe shoe based on physiological foot requirements. The JJDA Director can accompany students to pointe shoe fitting to assure proper selection. Boys – Black sweat pants and white t-shirts with black ballet shoes. Jazz/Lyrical, Stretch, Conditioning, and Rehearsal Classes – Girls – JJDA uniform leotard or uniform tank top with uniform shorts. Tights are optional. Students will wear Bloch Super Jazz shoes in Tan. Hair must be worn in a bun or neat ponytail. Boys – Black sweat pants and white t-shirts. Shoes to be determined. Uniform items and dance shoes may be purchased at Gigi’s Dancewear in Rahway. |
